What about allergies?

The office is peanut and tree-nut free. We strictly adhere to this policy so that our clients have a safe environment. Please disclose all of your child’s allergies and medical conditions with the therapist.

Can a parent attend the sessions?

We have an open door policy. The parents are welcome to attend every session. If you would like a different adult (family member, nanny/caregiver, another therapist) to attend the session we will ask for consent in writing. Please note: only one adult is allowed to attend at a time.

How often will my child need to come to speech therapy?

Therapy mandates will be determined based on the initial evaluation or evaluation paperwork from another sources i.e. EI, Board of Education, another therapist. Typically, children over 18-months come once or twice a week for individual 45 minute sessions. Children under 18-months usually have 30 minute sessions.

Do you accept EI, CPSE, or CSE related service?

We are a private pay office and do not accept payment from any of the above.

What are the payment options?

Checks are accepted. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards.

Can I submit to Flexible Spending (FSA)?

Yes, Flexible Spending will accept the coded invoices.

Do you take insurance?

We do not accept any insurance. We will provide a coded invoice for you to submit for reimbursement. Please call your insurance company prior to the start of therapy to confirm your coverage. We recommend that you get the coverage in writing.

Do I need a prescription?

We request that you get a prescription from the Pediatrician, ENT, or other referring medical doctor. We will keep a copy on file. You will need to send it in to your insurance company if you are covered. Please see below for more information about insurance and payment.

Can I bring a stroller?

Strollers are welcome. However, the doorway does not accommodate double side-by-side strollers. You are welcome to leave your double stroller outside of the building, but it is at your own risk.

What ages do you serve?

We serve ages birth – 14 years of age.

Where are you located?

The office is located at 215 East 79th Street, Suite 1B (in lobby), between 2nd and 3rd Avenue.
