Kim Kramer
Kim Kramer is a highly experienced Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Structured Dyslexia Specialist, with over 25 years of expertise in the field. She holds a master’s degree in Special Education from Long Island University and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Hunter College. Additionally, Kim is certified as a Structured Dyslexia Specialist through the Orton-Gillingham approach (CERI) and is licensed as a Teacher of the Hearing Handicapped (TSHH). She has also earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Kim has undergone extensive postgraduate training and holds certifications in various specialized areas, including PROMPT (Level 2), Beckman Oral Motor, Talk Tools (Oral-Motor), PAF (Level 2), Writing Revolution, Orton-Gillingham (AOGPE and IMSE), Auditory Processing (ListenLoveLearn Method), Sounds Fun! (co-collaborator), Sounds in Motion, and It Takes Two to Talk (Hanen Program).
Throughout her career, Kim has worked with the NYC Board of Education, Roosevelt Hospital Children’s Center, as well as Early Intervention (EI) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) agencies. She launched her private practice in 2003 and has developed strong collaborations with both private and public preschools, as well as K-12 schools in New York City.
In addition to her clinical work, Kim is passionate about sharing her knowledge and expertise, having presented numerous workshops to parent support groups, preschools, and educational institutions. She is licensed to practice in New York, Connecticut, and Maine, and remains dedicated to supporting the communication needs of children and their families.
